Privacy Policy
Canton Laboratories, Inc. (“Canton”) operates one or more websites (collectively, the “Canton Websites”). It is Canton’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites, subject to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) and the Terms of Use, as either or both may be amended from time to time. Terms not defined in this Policy shall have the meanings ascribed them in the Terms of Use. By accessing one or more Canton Websites and/or utilizing one or more Resources, you agree to the following terms and conditions as final and binding.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, Canton collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available to website operators, like the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. In addition to other purposes as Canton may determine from time to time, Canton’s collects non-personally identifying information to better understand how Canton’s visitors use its website. From time to time, Canton may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, and by accessing this website, you agree to such use.
Canton may also collect potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users or those referred from other sites or operators, like WordPress. Canton will only disclose logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to the Canton Websites choose to interact with Canton in ways that require Canton to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Canton gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, Canton may request that visitors who sign up for a newsletter or other Resources provide a username and email address, plus such other information as Canton may believe necessary, including financial or otherwise, depending on the nature of the transaction contemplated. In each case, Canton collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with Canton. Canton does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
Aggregated Statistics
Canton may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, Canton may monitor popular blogs or use spam screened via software or service to help identify spam. Canton may display this information publicly or provide it to others. Canton does not, however, disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.
Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information
Canton discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Canton’s behalf or to provide services available at Canton’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your state, province or country; by using the Canton Websites, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. Canton will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Canton will disclose potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request, in response to an investigation, under process of law or when Canton believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect Canton’s rights and interests, third parties, or the public at large. If you are a registered user of one or more Canton Websites and have supplied your email address, you agree that in addition to any Resources you may have solicited or requested, Canton may further send you an email to provide you with information, to inform you of new products, to solicit your feedback, or to keep you up to date on Canton and its products. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. Canton will undertake commercially reasonable efforts to guard against unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information, which efforts you agree are sufficient, adequate and complete.
Cookies
A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Canton uses cookies to help Canton identify and track visitors, their usage of the Canton Websites, and their website access preferences. Canton visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using the Canton Websites; provided, however, that Canton disclaims, and you hereby waive, any claim or liability that may arise due to your partial or incomplete access to the content of any of the Canton Websites as a result thereof.
Business Transfers
In the event (i) Canton engages in one more asset sales or purchases, (ii) Canton is acquired, (iii) Canton engages in one or more business combinations, mergers or acquisitions, (iv) substantially all of Canton’s assets are acquired, or (v) Canton is subject to an event bankruptcy, you acknowledge and agree that user information comprises an asset of Canton and that the same is subject to assignment, transfer and/or acquisition by a third party. Accordingly, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary, you acknowledge and agree that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Canton may continue to subsequently use your personal information, and that such subsequent use may not be consistent with this Policy.
Advertisements
Advertisements appearing on any of the Canton Websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Canton and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.

You acknowledge and agree that Canton has no duty or obligation to respond to or save user comments.

Canton reserves the right to change, and you agree that Canton may change this Policy from time to time and at any time, without notice, within the sole, independent, absolute and uncontrolled exercise of its discretion. Canton encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of, and consent and agreement, to such change.
